Quick Q...how do you paint the displays on the bike handle bars...when they are broken?

Black with gloss varnish?  (kinda how my TV looks when off you see...)

I'd like to see some yellows and browns in the scheme, but looking good so far. Nice touch on the bolters too, DG require RED BOLTERS! I don't think I've seen anyone do red on bike bolters, good call.

love the streaky armour!! Vey Nurgly.... I feel the exhausts should be a different colour? Maybe a metalic that is really sooty and oily.. kind of thing...

These are going to look awesome!

Good call, metallic exhausts would break up the scheme a bit, even just a touch, the majority of them could be rusty and corroded, but I also think it needs a little metallic silver or such.

Right let me first say a BIG thanks to you guys for helping me out with ideas, suggestions it has REALLY helped.  I have found these guys great fun to make and a problem to paint.

However i think, think, i have cracked it with your help.

Here is the test dude FINISHED! (bar base and back pack) let me know your thoughts as i am always keen to learn.  i must be honest with you though...i am kinda happy with him :) AND i have another 13 to do so i don't want to spend AGES more stuck on this one biker.

Right pics:

and these next three i have done the armour and washes they just need a bit of detail work and they are done too...

Edit:  these pics don't seem to show up the washes very well.  i guess cos its so late and i took the pics on my work bench and not where i usually take them which has a nice white back ground.  Still you get the idea?

They look very good. Only one more suggestion. Holes in the exhaust. A huge pain I know, but you did a capital job on drilling holes in the bolters, so I know you got the skill. ;)

Non picture update....as an aside I know most of you, like me, don't really count these as an update exactly but I am bored at work and I want to tell someone that I did something.

Of the 14 bikers 5 are complete except for bases and back packs (i tend to do the back packs all at once at the end) and 9 are all base coated, washes etc and ready for the stripey white to begin.  Now I have worked out what I am doing this should be a much simpler and therefore FASTER task than the first 5 ;)
